Happy release day to The Last Loyalist!

It’s with so much pride and excitement that I get to say happy pub day to The Last Loyalist!!!! 🎉 🎈 🎊

This book has been a long time coming, and I’m so excited to share it with you. If you haven’t already read it, here’s the blurb:

A lost soldier from the past. A modern woman with everything to lose. A love powerful enough to defy the centuries.

Public defender Melanie Reyes never expected her newest client to look like he’d stepped out of a Revolutionary War portrait. But Nathaniel Harrington isn’t just old-fashioned, he’s the very same British Redcoat who vanished without a trace in 1776.

He shouldn’t exist. Yet his haunted honor, razor-sharp wit, and unshakable loyalty pull Mel closer with every heartbeat. Nathaniel is a man out of time, and she’s the only one who can help him survive this new world.

But passion comes at a cost. To love him means risking her career, her reputation, and the life she’s fought so hard to build. And for Nathaniel, torn between the duty he left behind and the woman who’s captured his heart, it means proving he can be the kind of partner she deserves in a century not his own.

The Last Loyalist is a steamy, standalone time travel romance brimming with longing, found family, and the kind of love that can rewrite history.

EEKKK! Don’t you just love it! You can check it out on Kindle, and order signed copies right from me on this website.

A little background on this project was that it was an idea my husband had decades ago. I wrote my first draft almost ten years ago, and originally had Nathaniel be from the Civil War and Melanie from Baltimore. I couldn’t get it to where I was satisfied with the story, and as a history teacher, I respect these time periods too much to get it wrong. Years later, I was encouraged to revisit it, and I decided to change it to the Revolutionary War. That was a great idea, except for the fact that there were no British soldiers near Baltimore at that time, so that forced a complete rewrite to set the story in the Bronx to make it more historically accurate, well, as much as time travel romance can be. :)

Thank you so much for always loving my stories! I hope you enjoy this one.

Until next time,

Kathryn
