A Touch of Healing has a new look!
Hey everyone! I’m so excited to share the good news that the Sisters in Sirens Trilogy is now complete with a cohesive set of covers. Behold! The new look for A Touch of Healing!
While the original will always have a special place in my heart, I am so grateful to my cover designer for hitting it out of the park with this work. It captures Laura and Carter perfectly, giving a steamier version of the illustrated cover we all loved.
A careful eye will also see that the setting on each of the Sisters in Sirens series has a place at the bottom. Western Montana played a pivotal role in each of these stories and was, in many ways, a character in its own right. A Touch of Truth had a shot from Glacier National Park, which is the neighbor to our fictional town of Goldvein. The ranch on A Touch of Fire was taken from the high plains near the Sapphire Mountains. In A Touch of Healing, you can see the road, which I imagine as a road going home. This is taken from Montana as well, which those of us who have traveled there can attest just how big it is. It certainly earns the name Big Sky Country. There’s no other way to explain it.
When I first started A Touch of Healing, I had never been to Montana. I was craving something different than the coastal regions in The Firemark Series I knew so well. Unbeknownst to me, my husband would have to travel for work here for an entire summer, meaning I would be on a trip to visit. As luck would have it, I ended up right in the zip code where I imagined Goldvein would be. We spent time near Hamilton, near the very real Rocky Mountain Labs. We drove through larger-than-life valleys, watching helicopters dump large drums of water onto burning forest before ending up in Glacier National Park. Originally, I was worried if anyone could live off the grid or be lost in the woods in these modern times. Besides, did wildlife really pose that big of a threat? Let me tell you, after spending two days in Glacier National Park, yes, those things are entirely possible. I even purchased my very own bear spray from a delightful woman at the gift shop. Thankfully, it’s still unused.
All of this to say that this stunning and dramatic scenery deserves to be showcased on the covers. Western Montana is as much of a character as anyone else in this series, and I’m so glad she shines.
Now, of course, the sisters are complete with a cohesive look that looks very pretty in a box set, if I do say so myself. Speaking of which, you can now order directly from my website, so if you’d like the new version of the covers, or are new to the series, pop over to the bookstore to order one from yours truly. I’d love to sign it for you. :)
Thank you for always coming with me on this journey.
Until next time,
Kathryn
